Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred Hotfixes Target Exploits
One week has elapsed since the release of the Lord of Hatred expansion for Diablo IV, and Blizzard has responded with frequent hotfixes deployed on a near-daily basis. These patches target a variety of issues, including exploits that threatened game balance, scaling problems that impacted damage calculations, and stability issues that caused crashes.
The latest round of hotfixes specifically addresses three exploits. The first exploit allowed players to upgrade their glyphs infinitely by using Choron’s Soul, a resource typically earned from challenging endgame encounters. This effectively bypassed the intended limits on glyph progression. The second exploit revolved around the Out of the Cold and Dog of Astaroth War Plan nodes, which are part of the expansion’s new War Plan system. These nodes were being used to repeatedly farm Unique items without the intended constraints, flooding the economy with high-quality gear. The third exploit involved the Aspect of Limitless Rage, which could be stacked repeatedly to achieve infinite damage scaling. A developer note confirms that this aspect will be re-enabled once the current hotfix is fully deployed across all platforms. These fixes are now active for all players. The developers continue to monitor the situation and may release further patches as needed. In addition to these balance corrections, general stability improvements have been implemented, and a crash specific to the Paladin Free Trial on the Battle.net client has been resolved.
Maxroll is committed to keeping its resources up to date with the expansion’s evolving landscape. The team is prioritizing updates to Build Guides to reflect the new items, features, and mechanical changes introduced by Lord of Hatred. These guide revisions include adjustments to skill loadouts, gear recommendations, and Paragon board stra
