AFK Journey Classes – META Rankings & Tier List

AFK Journey’s six Classes—Warrior, Tank, Mage, Marksman, Rogue, and Support—determine each hero’s attack type, defense rating, and role. Because performance varies between PvE and PvP, ranking them requires measuring their metagame presence: how many of the top-performing heroes belong to each Class. The following breakdown uses this data to show which Classes define the current META.

Marksmen (Bottom Tier)

With an 11.11% PvP and 14.28% PvE meta share, Marksmen like Cecia, Odie, and Dionel offer strong single-target damage. However, they are often replaced by Mages who provide better AoE and survivability. Most remaining Marksmen are fragile and fall early in battles, though they can outperform low-ascension Mages in early-game content.

Tanks

Tanks hold 11.11% PvP and 16.6% PvE shares. Heroes such as Antandra and Thoran excel at absorbing damage and suppressing enemy frontlines. Yet, Tanks are increasingly replaceable in META teams: resilient Warriors like Brutus often fill the same role, and Tanks struggle against fast long-range attackers. They remain useful for specific PvE encounters like Dream Realm bosses.

Warriors

Warriors (16.6% PvP, 14.28% PvE) are early-game linchpins for breaking lines and soaking damage. Brutus stands out with temporary invincibility upon lethal hits, giving the frontline a crucial recovery window. Others like Florabelle and Igor distract enemies with summons. Warriors are versatile and can often substitute for Tanks in many compositions.
