Embark Studios is expanding the use of Denuvo Anti-Cheat in Arc Raiders to a larger player base, reporting positive progress so far and expecting further improvements as the system scales up. The developer has been grappling with cheating and item duplication since the game launched, issues that have driven away prominent streamers and reduced organic visibility for the title.

Strict measures against item duplication

One of the community’s most persistent frustrations has been item duplication. Embark states that it is taking “strict measures” to detect, address, and prevent these incidents. The work is described as detailed and methodical, with the team asking for patience while safeguards are built and ongoing incidents are resolved. Past hotfixes targeting duplication exploits and PS5 crashes are part of the broader maintenance effort supporting these anti-cheat initiatives.

New inbox notifications for report outcomes

To give players clearer feedback on their reports, Embark is introducing two types of in-game inbox messages. An Action Notice will inform players when a reported user has been banned, while Loot Compensation will trigger when the system detects a cheater caused the player to lose gear. This transparency aims to show that enforcement efforts are tangible and that community reports lead to real consequences.
