Arc Raiders Update: Item Duplication Exploit Fixed

Embark Studios has deployed Store Update 1.34.0, a patch designed to stamp out the item-duplication exploits that have plagued Arc Raiders for months. Community lead Ossen confirmed the June 23 update includes “a fix for some instances of duplication exploits.” The move follows a June 16 patch that strengthened the Denuvo anti-cheat system and explicitly targeted duplication glitches, with Embark stating at the time that it was “carefully detecting incidents, addressing them directly, and building safeguards.”

Duplication glitches in Arc Raiders have produced effects ranging from infinite ammo to mass-produced rubber ducks, and these exploits have recurred repeatedly over several months. The developer has acknowledged the frustration among legitimate players, who have grown tired of seeing one dupe glitch replaced by another soon after it is fixed.

Cheaters Pause, Then Plan

Evidence from monitored cheat-discord servers suggests the recent patch has at least temporarily disrupted exploiters. One vendor selling a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP)-based dupe tool announced they were suspending sales, and a member of a dupe community called their new attempt to circumvent Embark’s fix “a long shot,” adding that it is “really complex” to develop a working alternative. The tone of these discussions indicates that Embark’s latest measures have raised the difficulty for cheaters, even if it may not be a permanent solution.
