Xbox Game Pass June 2026 Wave 2: Layoffs & Games?

Microsoft has announced the Xbox Game Pass June 2026 Wave 2 lineup, a release that arrives against a backdrop of unconfirmed reports about potential studio closures and widespread layoffs within the Xbox gaming division. The company has not commented on rumors that Ninja Theory, Double Fine, and Compulsion Games may be shut down, nor on the reported departure of Xbox Game Studios head Craig Duncan. IGN has sought official confirmation but Microsoft has yet to respond.

Incoming Titles

Starting with June 16’s day-one release, Junkster, the next two weeks bring several notable additions. Call of Duty: Vanguard joins on June 17, followed by EA Sports FC 26 (June 18), Abyssus (June 25), and RV There Yet? (June 30). Early July sees Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 (July 2) and Winds of Arcana: Ruination (July 6). Junkster is the only day-one Game Pass release for the remainder of June.

Leaving Game Pass

Eight titles will exit the service this month. Among them are Mecha Break, Payday 2 (console version), and Slay the Spire, along with five others including both Tomb Raider games, Ultimate Chicken Horse, Volcano Princess, and Unpacking.
