Mookie Betts: 300th Homer Commemoration

Future Hall of Famer Mookie Betts cracked his 300th career home run, and SDS rolled out the inevitable commemorative program. The reward is a free Red Diamond Mookie (96 OVR) that you can earn through the program or buy on the marketplace. Honestly, this card doesn’t excite me – the attributes are mediocre for a 96. It’s a prime candidate for a Diamond Parallel Mod, but on its own it’s just okay.

June Countdown Program – Time-Limited and Refreshing

The June Countdown program is a neat experiment: a timed event that expires early next week, blending online and offline missions split by difficulty tiers. The missions are creative – things like tallying 1,500 PXP with Supercharged players or, for the hardcore set, striking out 24 batters in a single game. Even if you don’t finish the whole program, early rewards include a couple of cards you can flip on the marketplace. Plus, there’s a ton of XP and Stubs on offer.

The real star of this program is Zack Britton (96 OVR), unlocked at 50 stars. He’s an elite #2 closer with a max-Break sinker and a 99-Break slider. The 4-seamer and circle change have absurdly low usage (1%), so your PAR will be tiny. This card is absolutely worth the grind.
