AFK Journey Hero Roster – Unlock Guide

AFK Journey is a companion spin-off to AFK Arena, blending familiar characters with new faces such as the fan-favorite Odie. While the roster is notably smaller than its predecessor’s, it continues to expand with each update. As of the recent addition of Florabelle, AFK Journey features 45 heroes divided across six distinct factions. For context, AFK Arena currently has roughly twice as many heroes, giving its players a wider range of team-building options. Still, AFK Journey offers plenty of depth for those looking to assemble effective lineups.

Hero Roster and Factions

The 45 heroes in AFK Journey are split into six factions, each with its own strengths and synergies. Heroes are also categorized by rarity tiers, with A-level and S-level being the most sought after. The game shares some characters with AFK Arena, but also introduces original designs like Odie, giving both returning and new players fresh content to explore.

How to Unlock Heroes

There are three primary ways to add heroes to your collection. First, the daily login event titled “All Heroes Available” in the Events screen grants free A-level and S-level heroes simply by checking in each day. This is the most straightforward method and requires no spending.

Second, players can purchase Soul Sigils from the Emporium, Arena Store, or Guild Store. Buying the first Soul Sigil of any unowned hero immediately unlocks that hero, including rare Celestial and Hypogean units. This method uses currency earned through progression and competitive play.
