Wulfgard is a versatile DPS unit in Arkknights: Endfield whose effectiveness depends heavily on how you build him. His kit can flex into different team roles, but choosing the right gear and focusing on either Ultimate uptime or raw damage will determine whether he shines as a primary hitter or a supportive hybrid. Below is a breakdown of the two primary build paths, their trade-offs, and when to use each.

Build Path A: No-Gear Ultimate Focus

If you forgo a dedicated gear set and instead equip pieces with the highest Ultimate Gain Efficiency sub stats, Wulfgard will cast his Ultimate on every rotation. This dramatically improves his Ultimate uptime, making him a reliable source of burst damage and utility. However, the cost is a noticeable drop in his sustained DPS, since you lose set bonuses that enhance his Combo Skills. This trade-off works best when another unit on your team can carry the sustained damage role, allowing you to capitalize on Wulfgard’s frequent Ultimates for crowd control or elemental triggers.

Build Path B: Frontiers Set

The Frontiers gear set is generally the stronger choice for Wulfgard.
