Black Myth Wukong: Unlock Doors & Ashen Slumber

In Chapter 3 of Black Myth Wukong, you will encounter locked prison doors marked with purple circles throughout the Pagoda. These cells are all unlocked by defeating an optional mid-region boss, Captain Lotus Vision, and absorbing his Spirit. While opening these doors is not required to progress, doing so grants you a powerful transformation spell that makes the detour well worth your time.

Finding Captain Lotus Vision

Start from the Lower Pagoda checkpoint. Ascend the first set of stairs, then double back to cross the fallen wooden beam that acts as a bridge. Follow this path until you reach the Upper Pagoda checkpoint. From there, instead of continuing along the main route, look behind you and drop down onto a shrine roof. That rooftop leads directly into the arena where you will face Captain Lotus Vision.

Boss Strategy: Survive the Bullet Hell

Captain Lotus Vision is a floating statue that attacks with homing magical projectiles and summons stationary turrets that emit ground beams. This encounter plays like a bullet-hell fight, so mobility is your greatest asset. Because the checkpoint is right next to the arena, you will start with full mana. Your best opening is to cast Immobilize when you are close to the boss, then unleash every high-power attack you have. The Captain teleports frequently, so keep a reserve of stamina for sprinting, attacking, and dodging its barrage. If you are struggling, invest in skills that support high stamina builds and prioritize mobility—this will let you maintain offense while evading the constant projectiles.
