Wuthering Waves 2.1: New Endgame Mode Leaked

Recent leaks from reliable Wuthering Waves source Sleep indicate that Version 2.1 will introduce a permanent weekly-reset endgame mode called “Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways.” The mode is expected to debut around mid-February alongside the update.

How the New Mode Works

In Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways, players enter individual “gates,” each featuring unique challenges and buffs. The objective is to accumulate up to 6,000 Illusive Points per cycle. According to an earlier leak from Sleep, reaching 5,000 points in a gate grants up to 160 weekly Astrites, with additional rewards including EXP materials and Shell Credits. Each gate lists characters that provide a 150% point bonus for that cycle, incentivizing specific team compositions. Notably, claiming the rewards costs 60 Waveplates, adding a resource management layer.

Addressing Endgame Gaps

Wuthering Waves currently offers limited endgame content through the Tower of Adversity (akin to Genshin Impact’s Spiral Abyss) and single-claim Tactical Hologram: Calamity challenges. The addition of a weekly reset mode would provide a steady Astrite income and more varied combat scenarios, though competitors like Honkai: Star Rail already feature three rotating endgame modes.
