AFK Journey Team Building: Eironn, Talene & Stall
In late-game AFK Journey, team building for PvP and high-end PvE follows a common set of rules. There is little practical distinction between the two modes; a strong PvP composition will perform well in PvE unless the stage imposes extreme deficits. In those rare stall-heavy encounters, standard high-damage teams fail to kill enemies quickly enough, making durable units like Brutus, Antandra, and Koko essential to buy time.
A standard late-game team consists of one Tank, two damage dealers, one Support, and a flexible slot. Tanks have a very small roster, so faction bonuses must be considered carefully. Two carries are almost mandatory because no single character can sustain a one-DPS playstyle effectively. Supports provide the backbone with healing and buffs, though some trade raw healing for utility. The flex slot can be a Specialist—a character with a hybrid kit that offers unique buffs, debuffs, or hybrid roles—or a second Support. All late-game teams require characters ascended to at least Mythic+, as EX weapons and their upgraded effects are often core to the strategy.
