      RRQ Kaguya Disbands: Underwhelming Season
RRQ Kaguya Disbands After Underwhelming Season

Rex Regum Qeon has officially disbanded its female Valorant roster, RRQ Kaguya, ending a year-long partnership that failed to live up to expectations. The organization announced the decision via social media, confirming the termination of all player contracts and the dissolution of the team. The squad had aimed to qualify for the Game Changers world championship but fell short at the regional qualifier.

      A Short-Lived Campaign

RRQ Kaguya was formed in early 2023 as part of the club’s multi-squad Valorant program, which also includes a male roster. The team was built with the aim of contending at the highest level of the Game Changers circuit and qualifying for the world championship. To achieve that, they needed to advance through the VCT 2023: Game Changers APAC Elite regional qualifier. Despite showing occasional flashes of promise, the squad was unable to secure the necessary results to earn a spot at the global event. That underperformance ultimately prompted the organization to disband the roster and terminate the players’ contracts.

      A Peaceful Separation

In a farewell letter posted on its official channel, RRQ thanked the players for their unwavering commitment and dedicated contributions throughout the year. The organization stated that the players still have much to offer and that any team would be lucky to have them. The split was described as a peaceful end to the collaboration, with both sides expressing gratitude for the time spent together. The players also acknowledged the organization’s support during their tenure.
